I stayed six weeks at SVK during my BA studies in conservation of textiles and archeological fibers. I was very happy to get the place at the conservation workshop, and to spend a very instructive time there. I had the chance to have look in several specialisations and departments. The SVK is my fourth internship so far. In a very short time, I gained a lot of new experience even though I had some previous experience. The most interesting project that I worked on, was a contemporary tapestry wall hanging used in a public building of Gothenburg. Some areas weaved with synthetic fibers in this object were particularly degraded. This is where my greatest interest lies in: modern and synthetic materials. I enjoyed my time at SVK and I learned a lot for my future.
